I loved last season of this show. Based on the French film La Femme Nikita it's about a secret government funded organisation called Division. Nikita (Maggie Q) is a trained assassin and rogue Division agent hell bent on bringing down the corrupt corporation that trained her.
Last season they finally achieved their goal with the death of Division leader Percy (Xander Berkeley) and the ousting of the psych director and Percy's 2IC, Amanda (Melinda Clarke). Unfortunately this meant revealing Alex (Lyndsy Fonesca who you might recognise as the daughter from How I Met Your Mother) as Alexandra Udinov, daughter of the late Russian business magnate Nikolai who along with the rest of his family was murdered by a Division hit team which included Nikita. Nikita ends up rescuing and training Alex and together they took down Division.
Also on Team Nikita; ex-Division agent, trainer and Nikita's partner; Michael (Shane West) and nerd extraordinaire, also ex-Division; Seymour Birkhoff (Aaron Stanford). Fairly recent additions include Alex's partner Sean (Dillon Casey) and the new Division leader and ex-CIA operative Ryan Fletcher (Noah Bean).
So now that Team Nikita is running Division and Percy is dead, what's left to do? Well, there are quite a few rogue Division Agents still out there... It'll be interesting to see whether Division turns them bad and breaks up the group or if they can turn Division into something they can use. Already they are struggling to keep it on the down low and having a couple of internal hiccups.
Wow, Michael got caught first episode by some Chinese guy who wants all the Division agents? Who is he? It was a bit too close there, thank goodness Alex was there to back them up.
Love this show! I hope this season is just as exciting as last season... Amanda is still out there somewhere!
